Submission system reopens! Submit your manuscript from 15th of June till 31st of July

We understand the problems many of you are facing in this difficult time. The changing pandemic and political situation resulted in uncertainty about the possibility of attending the Congress in August, which led many of you to miss the deadline for Abstract submission. Therefore, due to multiple inquiries and requests regarding the extension of the submission deadline we would like to announce that we will be reopening the submission system for Abstracts which will be presented during the 67th ICoMST.

The submission system will reopen on June 15th and the final deadline will be 31st of July. We will ensure a smooth and fast review and editorial process to ensure that all accepted works will be published in time.

Poland slowly releases COVID-19 related lockdown

With daily observed new cases of coronavirus going below 500, Poland is slowly recovering from the third wave of the pandemic.

Over 8.2 mln people have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus (21.5% of the whole population), and another 13.9 mln people have received the first dose (another 36.3% of the whole population). Gastronomy along with all the cultural and scientific events are reopened, including the organization of conferences. Currently, there is no need for quarantine if you are fully vaccinated with one of the EU approved vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, AstaZeneca, and Johnson&Johnson) or will present a negative coronavirus test made no later than 48h prior to coming to Poland.

On behalf of the ICoMST Secretary, we are honoured to host the 67th International Congress of Meat Science and Technology. Since its first edition in 1955, ICoMST has become one of the largest and most prestigious  international meetings of meat technology scientists, professionals, business operators, and representatives of legislative bodies, gathering over 550 attendees from all over the world. ICoMST is aimed at enhancing the co-operation and exchange of scientific information between academic and industry researchers in the field of meat science and technology. The Congress meetings focus on presenting the latest findings in specific scientific disciplines, critically reviewing the work done in the various fields, and updating the latest knowledge on current issues that are most relevant for meat as food.

The 67th ICoMST will tackle the most pressing problems faced by the meat industry, with specialized sessions organized on the following subjects:
  • Animal welfare vs. Human welfare
